Chirbit

Chirbits are audio clips that your record or upload. To record a chirbit directly on the site, all you need is a microphone or a webcam with a built in microphone.

Chirbits can also be uploaded via a smartphone with a voice recording app and email capabilities.

You may also wish to record the file in an external program for more creative options. We accept MP3, M4A, OGG, MOV, AIFF, ARM, 3GP, WMA or WAV files for upload. If your audio format is not supported just ask us and we will add it. You can create uploadable audio files in a number of ways. We will list some of the tools here.

Audio Software: Audacity: is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. LAME: is a library that allows some programs to encode MP3 files. Garage Band: how to record a podcast (also applies to Chirbits) with Apple's Garage Band.

Chirbit Tutorials Check out the list of chirbit tutorials. If you have a suggestion for the tutorial section let me know and I'll add it.
