Golden Mile Complex to Federal Hotel by Bus

I was in Singapore for a 20-day trip after which I was supposed to go to Malaysia. I wanted to make the most of these 20 days and wanted to accommodate myself in a place where I could explore Singapore as well as head to Malaysia with ease. The best part of this was that my Bus boarding point which was Golden Mile Complex, tickets that I booked from https://www.redbus.sg/bus-tickets/golden-mile-complex-to-federal-hotel.

Golden Mile Complex is a commercial and residential high-rise building located on the Beach Road of Singapore. The building has about 411 shops and can accommodate more than 500 cars. It is the only place in Singapore where you will find people from different ethnicities and tribes living together. The building is much more than Lucky Plaza and has a concentration of Thai population. The building was completed in the year 1973 and is about 16 storeys tall. It gets a lot of VIP treatment as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is located on the eighth floor. Built at a cost of about 18 million the building is considered a major hub for travel as the ground floor of the building houses several booths of Bus Operators. Clubs, Shops and Eateries all occupy the second level of the building.

This building is also home to about 226 offices and 68 residential units. The occupants of the higher floors of the building have a panoramic view of the sea and the sky and the occupants of the lower floors have balconies.

There were quite a few Operators operating on the route between Golden Mile Complex and Federal Hotel. Konsortium, Starmart Express and Pacific Express and Tours were some of them. Konsortium had about 5 buses plying throughout the day starting from 7:00 am in the morning to 11:00 am. I had booked my tickets with Konsortium and based on the recommendation of a friend I booked a 7:00 am slot. The duration of the journey was about 5 hours. However, it could take longer if you leave during peak hours. The ticket fares start from SGD20 and go up to SGD60. Another Operator was Starmart Express, which had about 3 buses plying in the entire day starting from 8:00 am in the morning till 1:00 pm in the afternoon.

Starmart Express was the only Luxury Coach Operator on this route with tickets costing as much as SGD50. The bus was equipped with all modern amenities that you would require the most during your journey.

Federal Hotel this hotel is located at the shopping entertainment and dining district of Bukit Bintang. The hotel is one of a kind as it has a revolving restaurant on the top floor. It is just a 5 minute walk away from Sultan Ismail station and the Sungei Wang Plaza. The pavilion shopping mall and Petronas Twin Tower are just a kilometre away from here. I was quite pleased at my decision of visiting this place and I would suggest you of the same.
